I am wondering if cold hardy figs will grow well in the tropics. Or should I just grow those figs meant for zone 9 to 11? Norhayati
As far as I know all figs are better in hot climates. Not all figs do well in humid climates. I'd worry more about splitting and souring than cold hardiness. Some plants tolerate dryness better than others. You might need to water the cold hardy ones more.
Thanks Alan and Bob for the advice. I've been trying to grow some cuttings, it seems that certain cuttings are harder to grow like hardy chicago. I thought these cuttings might like some cool weather like those in the meditteranean. Norhayati
