Hey guys, WINTER is coming early! With possibly the coldest fronts coming this weekend for the Midwest and Northeast, what are your plans for the plants? I'm seeing temps of high 30's but there are other places north and west of me dipping into frost territory.I have heard that some cold weather is good for the plants, helps harden and lignify them to be ready to go dormant except if there is a lot of green growth. My plans are to bring in any small guy or plant with lots of green growth into garage for the shuffle at night.http://www.weather.com/forecast/national/news/pattern-change-winter-preview-northeast-western-warmth
I was thinking about bringing them into the garage too, but I was also thinking of covering them with a sheet which would protect them against frost. If the temperatures don't dip too low I think that should be fine.
Its was freezing in Louisiana this morning 52 degrees! !!!! But it will hit 88 degrees in a few hours
Does anyone have the Official Fig Shuffle lyrics?
http://www.weather.com/storms/winter/news/winter-outlook-2015-2016-noaa-wsiLooks like folks in the northeast may have a mild winter while the southeast will be cooler than normal. Hopefully our friends in CA will get some needed precipitation.
