Good day for comparing figs. Although the overall flavors on this plate weren't as intense as I'd like, I still enjoyed them. Could be the growing conditions and timing of harvest. I know Excel should've been better. Below is how I rated them, #1 being the best.
Great collection. Thanks for the feedback.
Nice photos!
Beautiful figs, thanks for posting Pete
Nice Nice Baby..... Thanks for sharing.
Nice they look great
All of them looked good to me, you are right on with the flesh color of Carini, strange. Nice collection, congrats.
Nice pictures, thanks for sharing
Frank, Was the Abebereria was fully ripe? It looks like the stem did not come off cleanly.
James,The stem was actually woody. There are 2 more figs on the tree with the same characteristics. The 2nd pic shows a better view of where I removed that fig.
That is kind of cool. It looks like my Abebereria died before I got fruit from it. Do you feel like the flavor of the figs in SIPs is up to par with those grown in the ground?
I haven't compared SIPs to ground with the same variety, but I am thinking ground trees will have better flavors.
Very nice!
Thanks Bob, good information on ripeness.
