I have a fig that is about the size of a quarter and as it grows its opening up like a flower,I can see the small flower buds like broc.??Rex.

Sounds interesting Rex.  Can you post a picture?

That happened a couple times to me.  It's just a deformity.  It will pass.  Your other figs should be good.

That's common in figs early in season for one or two to do that.

Perhaps something similar ?
