Hi all, It seems that france has alot of fig conservation centers. I found this interesting site on one in Labeaume -south of france :http://www.mairiedelabeaume.fr/conservatoire-du-figuier.html Google translate works fine... Enjoy

Very nice to see conservation efforts like this. It also points out why so much chaos in the fig naming realm. Most of the fig names seem spelled correctly but there are quite a few misspelled. example; Bragratto Nero I assume they meant to say Brogiotto Nero Dotatto should be dottato I'm just saying someone will take that funny spelling and change it further or assume a new variety.
