Cool Weather

After some warm mid 80 degree temps now yesterday and today high 68 and tomorrow expected to be the coolest July 1st in 79 years if temps do not go above 67. This morning i let the dogs out at 2:30am and it almost felt like a cold fall morning as i was wearing shorts.
Tonight and next several nights temps will drop in the 50s for nightly lows.
I have been reading some places like Texas and Louisiana have hit 100 plus .
My trees are  doing well as expected for this time of year so far.

Martin,
If you think 80 degrees is warm come down here!

We can show you "warm"

Enjoy your nice weather!

Send it about a thousand miles South, that should be right about where we are.

Cecil,
yes i know 1981 i think could have been 1980 somewhere around there, anyways was coming back from road trip, we stayed in Laredo Texas and would go across border into Mexico (long long story) anyways coming home around Austin i heard a hummin noise and had the radio blasting windows open cruising down the highway. I remember the guy on the radio saying it was 112.
I pulled over my car 1968 cadillac eldorado ( best car to date beside 67 chevelle) in some rest spot and went in the trunk thats when i noticed the humming was coming from the gas tank! I slowly opened the cap and a whooosh of air came out. Was nothing to be cruising along at 85 to 90 in that car on them roads with that big 472 cubic inch motor it just hummed. Pulled out the cooler and some pops and thats when it happened, an ice cube hit the pavement and litterally disappeared before our eyes, i never ever saw a ice cube melt so fast.

HAHA

Been there, done that!

Like I said.........enjoy your nice weather.

"an ice cube hit the pavement and litterally disappeared before our eyes, i never ever saw a ice cube melt so fast." man that was funny, it had me laughing. if this keeps up people are going to have to breed figs to withstand this heat.

Martin,
About the time you were coming back from Laredo Myself the wife and our little Poodle (Mr Magoo) were on a trip to California, we had a long nose KW that the air cond. wasn't working very good on, when we got to Needles Ca. we decided to get a Motel room that might be cool, stopped at a brand new nice Motel, rented that room, went inside and guess what that blasted room would not cool down, we had parked our truck headed west, the Motel gave our money back, by the time we got back in the truck, the evening sun had been shining on the shift knob, I had to put a towel over it so I could shift it!

BTW the weather that day in Needles Ca, was 124*

Do I miss that stuff??? Hal no
