Couple End of Season Beauties

Picked today, VdB on top and Kathleen's Black below. Both had excellent flavor and the VdB
had just enough seed crunch. The skin was toughing up but at this point who cares. Will shuffle
about ten different trees on the cart for the next week or so to see if they will ripen. With a
little luck I will share those also.

Very nice Mike!   That Kathleen's Black looks nice and juicy too, compared with a few of the other pics of it lately.  Nice looking figs.

Mike, the KB was actually the best one it has produced all season. Herman
Said give it time and better weather, which I will.

WOW!

Mike thanks for showing the pictures of VdB AND Kb.
Sounds like you had some nice tasting late season ripening figs !

Those look fantastic. Putting the house on the market and moving to Mike's :)

LOLROF @Tami

They look great!

Mike,

Did you pick those while carting them in? I just got in laying my pots down and covering with large tarps. I have not managed the space in my garage yet. I was thinking I would have a few weeks yet. I imagine I will if I get past Saturday.  I am below 35F right now, I always over-react early in the cold season. I knocked a few figs off tonight in the dark while laying them down to cover, one was good, couple were not ripe, one was I am not sure it was a fig. I spit it out and was afraid to look. I did get to taste Kesariani a couple weeks ago.

LOL @strudeldog
