I just checked the hourly weather and I think I am in trouble!!  It's suppose to get down to 17 tonight!!  BRRRRRRRRRRRR.  I did not see this coming - I thought the lowest was going to be the high 20's. 

I'm glad a took some cuttings yesterday, but not so glad to not have it protected.

I sure hope it does OK. - I'd hate to lose all the growth from this past summer.  :(

Hope the tree does well. I think we are in for another mild winter here. Today went up to almost 65. If this holds out longer, I'll pot my cuttings and leave 'em in garage.

Me too!  Hope it does well!  You have so many friends here, we'll be sending cuttings, but that doesn't help losing a valued tree!

Hopefully it will make it through the cold. But if not, figs are tough cookies. It should bounce back.
But lets hope we don't have to get to this point.

I'm with you JoAnn. I tried covering the two trees I planted this fall and the wind keeps blowing the cover off. I'm at Mother Natures mercy now. I'll hope for the best and replant this spring if need be.

I just checked the hourly weather and it changed!!!  It's 25 now and only going down to 21 for about 3 hours and then up to 30 by 10am.

Looks like I was wrong about the temps - thats for the next 24hrs :(  down into the teens by 6am till noon - :(
