Crown Gall?

I just dug out a two year old cherry from a pot and noticed it had crown gall. Are figs susceptible to crown gall, or would I be ok planting a fig in the same pot?

Apparently figs along with 100+ other plants can get the crown gall bacterium.  It attacks roots injured by cultivation.

"Heavily infected nursery fields should be planted to a grass crop for three years before planting susceptible nursery stock"

I think I'm gonna dump the half whiskey barrel and get a new planter and dump the dirt somewhere too... Bleh.

Darn, if it is not one thing is another....

Glad it was one of my potted trees... Bummed that it came in sick. Gotta track where it came from...
