Would like your opinion on what you would do. Is the cutting salvageable...???

My camera doesn't have macro....???  SORRY....but would like input, (I normally would dip them in water with a few drops of bleach and start over again)....not sure if that is what others are doing.

If its fuzzy it most likly is mold but threadlike could be root starts. Hard to say without a pic.

Armand.. rinse them gently with warm water, and leave them alone..sometimes they form a 'sandy' like foam on the spot where the roots will emerge, don't knock those out...  if they move... hum could be bugs crawling on them.

White thread like stuff sounds like mycelium to me. At least that's how I would describe mycelium to someone who had never seen it.
