I am using the baggie method and I checked on the cutting by un-wrapping the moist paper and noticed a nice light green leaf opening whereas the initials are just a bit bigger than goose pimples. I thought of a number of choices such as (1) Place in Perlite-Vermiculite mixture as usual but remove the leaf to avoid it using nutrients from the cutting and; or (2) Place in Perlite-Vermiculite mixture as usual but place it in better light conditions so the leaf provides energy rather than using it from the cutting; or (3) Place in Perlite-Vermiculite mixture as usual and leave it in warm humid condition with little or no light until rooting.
What is a better solution for successful rooting of a cutting too eager to leaf out early.
And yes, welcome Adriano.
