I`m searching for fig tree cuttings from Kathleen`s black (FMV free).  I`m from Germany and I would like to buy or trade cuttings (I prefer buying, because the US customs are very strict). If someone would like to trade I have a lot varieties from mercato verde.

welcome to the forum. there are number of members with KB. i'm sure someone will be able to help you. i know i send to about 6 or 7 members so far since this spring. but they will be too young for cuttings. there are long time members also with KB that might be able to provide some. all my KB cutting will have FMV. and mine is from the member who found the tree in MD/DC area.

it seems as if you are the only one at the moment who can help. Maybe you have cuttings from KB next year - I can offer you a native green fig from Spain which has a real good / outstanding taste (with a nearly white pulp) cold hardy and healthy.

   I noticed from your original post that you prefer to buy rather than trade because of your concern about US Customs.  Why would it make a difference with Customs whether you buy or trade?

because the German customs aren`t so strict than the US customs. There is no warranty that you get the cuttings in the US that`s why I prefer buying. But if someone is really interested in trade I will send some.
If I buy some only the German customs check the mail and this is no problem. After the 9/11 the US customs check every mail and they are very strict.
