Cuttings in Canada

I'm new to the forum so hopefully this posting isn't off-base. I'm impressed with all the info. on this site, how helpful people are, and how willing people are to share their experiences so I'm hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction.

I've been reading a lot on here, but many of the figs that seem most interesting don't seem to be available in Canada...

Are there any Canadians that are selling/shipping cuttings? I'd love to add some other cold-hardy figs to my collection (so far I'm only growing hardy Chicago). I've read through a bunch of topics on here and Florea and Marseilles Black Vs seem very promising. Any recommendations on those varieties or other cold-hardy varieties? And, where in Canada would I find those cultivars?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Marc0, I can send you some MBvs if you want to pm me your address.

Welcome to the forum!

Tyler

Welcome, Marc0!  I don't know enough about figs to know which are best for what zone.  However, I do LOVE Canada!  I was married in Burnaby and we had our honeymoon on Victoria Island...not the subject here, I know...just wanted to say hello and welcome :-D

Thanks for the suggestions and the welcome. I hadn't been checking ebay so that's something I'll keep an eye on. The brugmansia website looks good - it has a couple mount etna types that look interesting... And, I e-mailed Adriano a few months ago, but I never heard back.

Tyler, I'll send you a PM. Hopefully I can figure out how to root the figs. I've noticed a few topics on here explaining successful methods.

Does anyone know a source of florea in Canada?

Thanks!

Hi Marc0.
I have a list of trees that you could choose from. You might find something there.
Just asking for postage to be payed. Will mail bare root.
