Cuttings left for dead

Back in September, I took some cuttings from my Black Mission fig.  A big, old tree had fallen on top of it, and I thought I'd try to salvage it by taking some cuttings.  Within a couple of weeks, several of the cuttings rooted.  After a couple more weeks, there weren't roots on the other cuttings, so I tossed the ziplock bag with the cuttings inside on the table outside.  Today, after at least 6 weeks of not even looking at them, I picked up the bag to toss it thinking they were all just dead.  No, they weren't dead.  I guess I'll put them into cups tomorrow...  IMG_2734.JPG  IMG_2735.JPG  IMG_2733.JPG

Awesome!  Tough little sticks huh.

Of the 10 cuttings I took back in September, one of the cuttings is in a 1-gallon pot already, with plenty of roots and leaves.  Several more are still in clear cups, but  have pretty good roots and a few leaves.  It makes me wonder about how well these slow-to-root cuttings would do if I were to pot them up.  But I have nothing to lose by giving them a shot.
