Cuttings Never Die!

This is a cutting from a tree that came about from some one throwing away their black mission figs from Trader Joes. Last year I had roots on and some bud but it didn't make it. For some strange reason I didn't throw it away. It didn't do nothing last year and now its shooting up! Needless to say I have some cutting that didn't make it so I just stuck them in a pot and left them outside. Look out next year for the update. Behind it is a pomegranate tree.

Gift from nature to you for not giving up totally....
It is a beautiful tree.

Thanks. Most of them are in 5 gallon buckets.

Awesome. A young tree I thought died last winter is finally showing me signs of life today. Made my morning. Figs are vivacious little things.

Indeed

Hi Raywilliams,
Sometimes it works ! and they can come back from so far but it is when the climate cooperates.
This year the weather is harsh here with a really burning sun and desiccating weather. I had to put the younger cuttings in the greenhouse after planting the tomatoes outside.
I now took the highest one outside - and today we have a shinning / burning sun - I must go check ... Hope she's strong enough now, and still safe at this time .
