cuttings question

So I got some cuttings. I wrapped them with newspaper, wet them and squeezed off extra water, put them in ziplock bags and put them in my laundry closet.

There are some leaf buds coming up and lots of white dots up and down the cuttings. Are the white dots the beginning of roots? Should I clip off the leaf buds until I get more substantial roots?

Thanks.

Guillaume

The leaves will take energy, so I would clip those, but DO NOT PEEK!  Roots will form in time.

I was just airing out to prevent mold.

This time of the year, just stick them in a pot with well drained mix and put them in shade.
