Cuttings - Taken Late In Winter/Early Spring Roots Better ??

I have been most happy/successful with rooting cuttings given to me that were taken in late winter or early spring. What are the rest
of the fig friends experience ?

I don't have personal experience with spring cuttings but have read that cuttings taken just prior to dormancy break (before the bud break) root faster. That is the time the sap is about to start flowing (or has started flowing) which may have something to do with better rooting.

This is my 3rd year doing cuttings, I have had great luck
rooting in the spring and summer because I didn't know
any better. Now that I do know better, I wonder if my
luck will hold out. I hope so...

I do better with cuttings taken in late winter/early spring.  I think it's because they had a good rest.
