Cuttings to Share

Sounds good,  Thanks guys.

It was a great bargain and packaged very well. I would certainly buy again. Especially if someone else pays for me.

I should say, the next batch will have different varieties,  I might need to charge a little bit more.  The shipping was more than 5$ and the varieties will be more special.   I will post the details next Sunday.

I wondered how you made out on the $5 shipping.  No matter, I will pay the extra.  Hershell don't fret.  Whatever I get you will get eventually.

Great looking cuttings!  In sphagnum moss right now.

Thank you!

I'm with Charlie. Count me in.

Please count me in.

Very worth it. So sorry you have to work so hard. Very interested in next batch of cuttings, even with a higher cost.

I also have some plants to give away if you can make it here in the next week or so.

Oh, sure, two months after I leave SE Michigan!  I guess I'll just have to keep an eye out for next week's cuttings offering.

Certainly worth to me, thanks again for your effort in the quality packaging, labeling and getting them out.    I'm up for the next round too.

Yes, agreed was worth the price. Thanks for all the extra work and I'm in for round 2 also.

I always feel greedy asking for more, but yes, I'd like some more please!

I'm in too! I missed the first round darn it

I missed round one, too, but am certainly interested in round two!  I'll have to keep an eye out for Sunday's post!

Great Job Sharing Dan, in a few weeks it will be my turn. We are still Sunny here in California, but the nights are getting cold.

Count me as interested as well, though I'd prefer to see the list before committing.  I'm probably late to the party, but I'm hoping to expand.  Two varieties just isn't enough...

Yes, Im interested as well if there are varieties that are not yet in my meager collection.  Everyone who was lucky enough round 1 should give us working stiffs a chance, hahah

Dan
Well packed and well worth it. Until you do a mass cuttings shipping project you don't realize how much time and effort goes into it.
I sent out over 75 packages and over 400 cuttings last year and I thought that I wouldn't do that again.
However, I will do it again later this month as I trim The Dominick again.
Cheers Dan,
You made a whole lot of people happy

Thanks everyone. Finished trimming the cuttings and placing them into bags. Quite a bit of work for one night.

Count me in  :)  I don't have a working computer and doing this by phone is tough.

After a few years I send out a small flat rate USPS box and charge $8.  It covers my costs especially if 1 or 2 people don't get theirs.

Here is the list that I will send out this week.  These are my own personal photos.

I'm asking $30 plus $7 shipping.  Private message me for paypal info.  When they are spoken for, I will post it as so.  I know there are several folks that said "count me in", but I need to do it this way to be fair to everyone.

Please include your shipping address in the private message.  You must be in the US.

The packages are all made up.  It took me and my wife 3 or 4 nights to complete this.  Please don't request something special, like extra or less of this or that.

Where ever possible I tried to supply 2 cuttings although on a few varieties, only 1 was possible.  Each cutting should have at least three nodes.

I make no claims that my figs are FMV free.  I haven't had one yet (except my Maltese Beauty) that doesn't show signs of it in some way shape or form.   If you are one that wishes to build a collection of FMV free trees, please pass on my offer.

Upon reciept I recommend re-cleaning the cuttings and separating the varieties into their own bag with moist moss.

A really nice offer, Dan. Kudos to you and your wife.

What is FMV? Is is bad? Does it hinder the fig tree's production at all? A little? Or is it just cosmetic (doesn't affect fruit production)?

There is a debate on it for sure.  A debate I wont engage with my own opinion.  I can tell you I have several trees with it that give me 200+ figs and I'm sure they taste no different than ones that don't have it.   And to add, you can look at the sample leaves in the photos and see what they look like.

Just do a search on FMV and you can read all about it.

Thanks

Super nice offering Dan, unfortunately (or fortunately) I have all of them, but you should get enough members to accept your generous offer.
