If you used rooting hormones - excessive hormones could retard the growth of leaves. It's my understanding that those hormones start breaking down in about a month - so if you can keep on babying the cutting it should eventually put out leaves.
There is something called companion planting where one plant gives what the otherclacks. Not sure if this is the case here .
this might be a stupid question, but how do you know if they have roots ?i have 2 cuttings going now, both have a bud on top, they have been in a pot for several weeks, i dont know if there are any roots though ?
Greenman, if you use clear plastic cups you can see when the roots reach the wall of the cup.
