No rain to speak of for the last 3 months and now that I've 4 Strawberry Verte figs trying to ripen, it goes to raining and the largest of the 4 has already split and nowhere near ready to pick.  =(   I put it on the porch out of the rain so maybe I can salvage the other 3.  Crossing my fingers.

Wax the figs with some olive oil, they will ripen sooner.

Cover the split fig with organza or cheese cloth.  As long as no bugs or mold get to it it will still sweeten up.
