If someone offers you an unknown fig variety don't decline the offer. It could turn out to be a brown turkey or just something so unique. This fig originated in North Africa. It's turning dark now, I'm keeping it in the cool greenhouse. It may not develop properly.

Amazing bass! This is amazing, I have a fig that turned like that. Will take a photo to show it here in the morning!
That looks interesting Bass, nice to see you posting again.Hope it ripens as I am now curious to see what the final result will be.
I hope it turns into something great for you!
Great-looking figs. Seen similar figs from North Africa and they usually get a lot bigger than the ones posted.
Hi BassHope you are well. Nice looking fig, and still having fig fun in December in Pennsylvania. You are a lucky man.Coop
Thanks Otmani, Looking forward to get this tree to grow into an actual tree. Right now it's only about 10" tall with 3 figs and all 3 have that form. Coop, it got figs, but I'm sure they're not gonna be nearly as good as summer ripening.
Beautiful fig Bass! Do you know country of origin?
It's either from Algeria or morroco.
My Syrian does that with some figs. Here is a picture:
