With all the predation I've had I brought this little baby inside until it ripens! I have it in a west window on the kitchen sink. :-)Sue

Aw Sue let that type of fig ripen then give to the animals they need to eat also . ; )
Martin, I bet yo9ur dog would NOT turn it down.
Jon most animals do not know any better there just trying to survive . ; )~
Martin, My other post will be more to your liking. ;-)If this one turns out to be a "BT-like" fig, you bet it will be fodder for the critters. But if it's like Sucrette, Panache or Adriatic well we'll have to agree to disagree!Sue
Sue,Great looking fig.Phil from Northern Ohio
Thanks Phil, it is a beauty. Lost them last year at this size to critters. This year they are MINE! ;-) It's time to bring the Hollier in too...around 15 figs are softening up. Pretty soon I may not have room to cook!Sue
Well, well, well...look who I spied on the patio munching on the stray cats food tonight...bet he's the culpret eating my figs!Sue
Sue, if you don't get rid of that dude, he will keep coming back every night! Then more will come and before you know it the word will be out to "Eat at Sue's".
.22 to the middle.. errr.. those eyes are little to close to each other.. hit the left eye.
Always wanted to try opossum stew.
Dalmatian is not like Brown Turkey,it is super tasty with berry Flavor just let it ripe properly till it hangs down and start shriveling a little.
Thanks Herman, good to know. It's just now getting soft. I figure another 3-5 days before it's ready. It's sure hard not to pick that beauty...it's just hanging there in all its glory, teasing me...
If you got an young tree with only a few fruits I would protect the fruit with a net,or a paper bag clipped together wit a paper clip or something, because it will disappear if not protected. Some bird will get it .
