I just received my first Fig tree from Almost Eden. I have nothing but good things to say about their service and plants. In the past I have ordered Hummingbird attracting plants (Salvia & Sage) from them but this was as said, my first fig purchase . I ordered a Danny's Delite and was impressed by the packaging . they also included a certificate from the La Dept of Ag&Forestry. Here is their description :
Produces medium sized, pear shaped to rounded, purplish brown figs with an amber to strawberry flesh with good flavor and a small eye. Danny's Delite was originally found growing in southern Michigan and has been known to withstand temperatures as low as -5F so it certainly has excellent cold hardiness. An excellent choice for short summer regions as it is known to produce fruit even if frozen to the ground. Item# 9907.
