We had experienced a rare rain today in Los Angeles!
Great! But not so much for some figs.
The GR split badly while the DF held up nicely!
The DF's taste was a light strawberry, a bit diluted by rain but still very respectable.
A good variety for the Eastern states I assume. No wonder it came to me from Seattle.
The GR is not even ripe, the taste is just blah.
I was told that the GR is a San Pedro fig, so most of you will taste a main crop since this one has been pollinated
