Dark Fig ID

This is an unknown dark fig. It has a really nice jucy taste. i don't know if this is the best representation of the color since the weather has been cool down here and it took a long time to ripen. Any ideas on it?

No idea, but it looks good!  Thank you for sharing the pictures

It does look good what ever it is.

Thanks guys! I hope this one can be figured out.

Sicilian Red?

See http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/red-sicilian-fig-5532817?highlight=sicilian

(there are other postings about that one as well).  Not certain that's it, but I have Red Sicilian (Marius), and this one of yours looks a lot like the ones I've been picking the past few weeks.

I thought that too. The figs look very similar or the same form posts I have seen, but I originally thought the leaves were not the same, but they look similar in some posts I have seen. I do have a small sicilian red that is not from marius' strain. I guess next year I'll compare. This is only the second year I have had this tree and the first year for fruit.

Could be a red Sicilian.  I also have one growing (no fruit yet), but I'll go get a picture to compare the leaves.

Here are a few more leaf pictures.

Here are some of my red Sicilian leaves.

They do look similar to some of the leaves on my tree.

I think so too.  Check with Dave, he is the source of my tree.  Maybe he has a picture of some ripe fruit too.

Hi Marcus nice fig,had a good time at the fig meeting,I think I will have a St Rita soon I will take a cutting off my little tree, and get it stated in my basement under the lights.i will keep you posted.PS how's the little Maltese Falcon?

Hi Victor, the Maltese Falcon is good, so are all the other ones! The fig meeting was a good time! When a few more leaves fall off and I can see what's doing I'll let you know. As far as this one. I sent pics around to people researched the forum and I think it's safe to say its a Sicilian red. I have a small Sicilian red already. I might keep this another year and just do a side by side with the one I have and see which one does better. This one shows fmv pretty bad.
