Looks very small the fruit, my Black Portugal had small fruit, not sure if it was lack of sun or RKN..???
Small fruit or large leaves? Anyway, it looks very nice - maybe it will improve with age.
It sure does look like it would taste good. Hopefully it will improve.
Thank You for posting. I'm surprised that this fig is only a 7. I don't feel that bad anymore for losing mine.
@mnedelcu:What was the source of your DLR?
Nice
Nice photos. I would be curious as well as to the source for your DLR? Is this one from (MP)? My DLR (MP) produced one fig this season that was exceptional in flavor. Looked very similar to yours except for the pulp, yours' solid and mine with a slight hollow.Thank you.
nice
Looks good, mines still in its first year. It has a few fruits still ripening which probably never will. And Birds pecked all of them already as well.
They might be a 7 but they look good nevertheless. The taste is all relative. All the best
There are many "De la Reina" in Spain, completely different between them. For that reason it is important to clarify the origin of your "De la Reina".
Source is mr. Pons(through a friend of mine). Why so watery and unsweet...?well....short and cold summer, long, cold rains and nights(already) on 48 degrees...Here's the answer !
I had recently acquired a DLR from MP.Unfortunately, I lost it before it even fruited.Would love to (somehow) re-acquire it again...
In those circunstances, a 7 is not so bad...
