Dealing with newbies and accelerated growth scheme.

Sorry, folks, I posted something I thought was funny, first portraying me as ripping off a newbie, then claiming I couldn't grow a fantastic cutting that all ready had strong roots, and finishing off by claiming I grew a plant from an embryo to 4' tall in a single day.  It offended a very generous and capable member so I took it down.  Nothing to see here.  Move along.

Darn Newbies !
You made me chuckle and i like your sense of humor .
Just what the forum needs more of !
Thanks.

Bob, now really... do you expect me to really believe that it was shipped priority mail. come on, I was born at night, but not last Wednesday!

There limits of belief, even when there is a sense of decorum!!

hehehe, sounds like me... the FIRST TIME I TRADED!!! What a flop I made. Didn't know how much to trade or package anything lol. The member I traded with were not happy. With a little more experience now, I feel confident.. Gosh, I was so embarrassed.

So far I've traded money for product and/or shipping.  I'm pretty confident now that roots will come if you treat the cuttings right.  Been lucky in my trades.  I gave you money, Bob!  You gave me 4 great fig plants and a few slimy ronde de turkey cuttings that just didn't make it, but it was a flyer, so didn't expect anything!!  And perfectly OK with it.

Your fig plants are doing fine!!

I always feared trading cuttings of my Violette De Bordeaux because although some here assure me it is just that, I'm still not sure.  It was bought from Gurneys under the name Italian Honey.  Tastes like pure heaven!!

Got many cuttings of that baby, and others I've acquired this year, this fall for sure!    Do citrus even grow where you live?  I got 4 bean seeds as an apology once.....  I'll plant em!  Heard they do good for the soil!

Nice to have cuttings for trade, and can't wait to get my unknowns up and running!!

No figs were harmed in the deletion of this post. ;)

The cuttings are fabulous!  They already have strong roots. The only thing that will remain is photographic proof of how vigorous these cuttings are:

They all have strong root systems!

You are an odd duck Bob. I swear, if you scare Gina off... (shakes fist).

On a serious note it is really hard for humor to work here sometimes and I like to use a winking smiley or say something like "on a a serious note" after to be clear.

As the great Chick Hearn used to say, No harm, no foul.

I mentioned this on an old post that it is sometimes difficult to communicate on here as we cannot here voice inflection or see facial expressions or body langauge.

It's about time this was corrected!! Jon why can't you fix that so we can see each other!?! wink wink :) lol, just to be clear.

I saw it as satirical humor, nothing more, my comments were made as a tongue in cheek response.  Any offense on my part was totally unintentional and not meant as such.  I guess there was a back story.
