I found a fawn resting under a Hardy Chicago this afternoon. I guess it liked the shade. :)

Great shot. Love it. It is counting the fruits on your tree.

It's waiting for them to ripen.  Venison with fig glaze.

You know what they say right? "Sleeps under the figs, cook it with figs."

Awwww -  how sweet.  I admit I am a softy when it comes to animals.

Not many fawns in The Bronx.....feral pigs, we have plenty.

What a coincidence! Last evening after completing my daily therapeutic "fig walk", who should I run into but a beautiful doe/buck on the rim of my property. Didn't stay long...took off like a shot. See ya!

Beautiful pictures ! I'm a softy when it comes to animasl also. Although we have a couple of rabbits that are trying my patience as they are eating low leaves of some of my young trees. Had to put them up on along bench . This morning a two were pulled off the bench !
