I'm new so i'm reading up on various cultivators that are cold hardy i'm in zone 5 but many plants rated for zone 6 seem to do ok here. One cultivator i'm interested in is ..........Desert King...........can any of you tell me of your experience with  Desert King. i would love to acquire a cutting of this someday any trades?

humm... lot's of views no response ?please vet ran fig growers if you have grown this cultivator please share  your opinion of it. How did it preform was it tolerant of cold snaps  how was the crop etc.

You might also want to check with burntridge nursery for it. My trees alwasy look great that come from there.

I managed to get their Idaho Fig. I spoke with Mike there and found out it is a fig found at an abandoned homestead in Hell's Canyon, Idaho by some hikers. So, I am hoping it will be cold hardy!

so  what zone is hells canyon or is that an unusual micro climate?  What  zone are you in Jose?  I'm in zone 5. I am interested in hearing how the Idaho fig does.Keep us informed.
