This past early spring I purchased a Desert King from a well established New Jersey fig grower. I am beginning to have some doubts as to weather the fig was mislabeled. I am attaching photos of the leaf pattern and a picture of one of the figs beginning to ripen. I was under the impression that the Desert King was a green fig. Because the grower is well respected in the fig community,I am sure if there it's a mistake, it was just that. We all make them. Than again I could be very wrong, as I am a total newbie and it could in fact be a Desert King. Thoughts on the photos please.

I am still trying to ID a mislabeled Desert King. Picked the first fig, very tasty! Probably could have gone another day or two, but was drooping and soft. Before cutting most members thought perhaps a LSU Purple.
