Hi Ricky, it looks like Desert King is doing well in Vancouver, B.C where I am living there as well.. I bought one Desert King last April in Richmond but I don't think it is a Desert King as I was told because I found some figs were in dark purpose skin with reddish inside instead of green skin supposed to be. What is the fig color of your Desert King (ripen) ? If Desert King is good for Vancouver, B. C. I am thinking to buy a real Desert King from a reliable nursery. Is Desert King also suitable to plant in a large container ?
Your comments will be greatly appreciated.

well, Desert king is very reliable and productive here, According to Paully22, Granthams  Royal even better, it tastes better than Desert king, According to UC Davis report, it has brix reading of 21, It is super sweet figs, If possible, I would love to have this in my garden, I am hoping that Paully22 can tell me where to buy cuttings or fig trees here, So far, no luck.

I am fig newbie, I tasted my 1st sweet desert king fig last year August and I bought Desert king fig trees from 2 seller hoping to find the real " Desert king".

Ricky, thank you for your image and details as regard to Desert King. Do you think Desert King is ok to plant in a large container ? Anyone can guide me to this ?

Ricky- check out Figs For Life. They're a BC fig supplier. I've purchased quite a few from them, all were excellent quality, and very well packed for shipping. No Granthams Royal or Florea but a nice selection :)

Hi Pacifica, I am a newbie too, However, I find that other people grow "Desert king in pot" with great results

Hi Kricket:
I am planing to buy couple fig trees from "Figs for life", Do you know  their "Brown turkey"? Are they reliable with sweet figs, My brother has a big 10 year old brown turkey ( Amber flesh) from Richmond nursery, It bears bland figs.

Anyway, I am hoping that some nice guy can help me to find " Granthams Royal and Florea.

Ricky : Thanks again for the link.
