Nice video, Joe. Thanks for your efforts!

Joe thanks for your videos, brebas look great. Fruit in first week of May-gotta love it! I hope my Desert King will produce fruit next year (too small this year unfortunately).

Thanks for the comments!

Richard I don't know anything about the Kala fig.  Desert King is a great fig tree.  The fig in this video was pretty ripe.  When they are completely dead ripe the interior is more red and the skin is more yellow.

That figs looks delicious Joe!
And also a beautiful tree.
I myself got hands on some DK cuttings last year and i am courios how it will perform in my cool summer and mild winter climate of Schleswig-Hostein, Northern Germany.

Thanks for the review, i love your videos!

Awesome video Joe. Thanks for sharing and congrats on your beautiful yard!
I have six Peter's Honey brebas getting ripe as we speak and I just can't wait.

Great video Joe, and the new camcorder does a wonderful job.

What zones can this variety be grown. I know it likes the warmer weather but would it ripen in zone 6 if you protected it in the winter? Thanks Erick Zone 6

Thanks everyone!

Christian Desert King should do well in a climate with cool summers and mild winters. The Pacific Northwest region of the USA has a climate like that and Desert King is the most popular fig tree there. However the breba crop will not survive if the winter temps get too cold. Let us know how Desert King does for you.

Erick I'm not sure how DK would do in the ground in zone 6 with protection. Maybe growers who have tried it can chime in?
