Devestated

All my cuttings that I purchased this season were eaten by Rollie Pollies or Pill bugs! so devistated they where growing so good then this happened!!!

Yikes! I didn't even know those things were a worry for fig growers...

They ate all the bark off every bit of the cutting that was in the soil! So upset!

It is possible that they just finished off what fungus gnats started? Have you had any issues with fungus gnat flies and larvae...?

What part of the Bay Area are you in, Sean? I have extras of some varieties if you'd like. Happy to share.

Sean I am sorry to say, but I doubt that the pillbugs were the only problem. From everything I have read they only eat dead wood. I think your cuttings were attacked by something else and these were just feasting on the remains. Based on previous comments that you rooted in water, I think the rooting started rotting and the pillbugs ate that.

I would be happy to send you cuttings in the fall, though unfortunately I have none available right now.

Figgary I live in the East Bay Pittsburg to be exact! If you have some extra they would have a good home!

Keep your chin up! This has happened to most of us, to some extent or another. My advice is throw out all your potting soil to outside plants only, bring only good Quality Coco Coir ( used some Burpee Coir from Walmart!)...have some diluted hydrogen peroxide/ and or liquid permethrin handy ( bought at a feed store)...dispose of those little Bastids!

Sorry, What varieties did you lose?

I lost Green Ischia, Black mission, Desert King, Dalmatian and Longue d'Aout

The squirrels waiting on the later fruits of those cuttings are going to be pretty upset when they hear about this! :-)

I have a bajillion pill bugs in my garden. They have eaten the outer skin on main stems of my tomato transplants and will dine on squash skins if they touch the ground.

Good luck with your next set of cuttings, if this was easy everybody would be doing it ;-)
