This looks interesting. Watch the video on using the crystals in adult diapers in the garden and let me know what you think. It looks like it would prevent overwatering of our figs. I like the cut flower idea too.

It is funny, my figs only have not enough water.
I water every 2-3 days and the soil is dry at that time already.
If water more, they grow more, if I wait longer between waterings, they grow slower.

I can water mine everyday and they would be very happy. But i live in Louisiana & maybe good for cuttings. I have murdered many cuttings in my day do to to much moisture. Cant hurt to try
