I picked my first DiRedo fig from a UCD cutting planted
in 2009 with 8 more figs to follow. This is definitely not a
Disey fig, Martin. The tree seems healthy enough, but has
some late season rust. For its first fruits, I grade this fig a 5
in taste, 5 texture and 5 seed/nut crunchiness like a fig newton.
I gave no thought of a picture, but after taking a nip, I said
I gotta share this. How winter hardy it is, I don't know and
won't for a few years, it is in a 2 gallon pot about 3 ft tall.
