You could add wheels and make it portable, or leave the screen off the bottom to set over in ground figs to keep birds off near ripe fruit.
I like the idea.

Doug, that's what I'm thinking...put my fig trees with ripening fruit inside. I won't add the plastic and will put a tighter mesh over the pvc but it looks fairly inexpensive to make. Especially since I just finished building the raised bed section and just need to make the top.
