do I have a stray unknown?

This cutting was among the Manhattan Italian batch I rooted, (bought from a person on eBay selling batches of 10 scions for purple figged Italian fig tree in one of the old NYC boroughs) the Italian ones are all very strong, big green leaves, great roots etc. This one is healthy and has great roots etc, BUT has small leaves, the plant is beginning to branch out and throw up other leaves, they also are small and look mature in terms of texture and they all are about the same. The leaves are about 30% the size of a typical fig at this age.  It is common for figlets to throw non standard shapes, but I get the sense this is not the same tree rather another scion thrown into the mix...thoughts?

Whatever it is, it is nice!

Jack they could be the same from 1 tree it depends where the grower cut them off.

To give you simple example on my Hardy Chicago leaves are mature on this plant and all look close alike but when i gave a trimming it awoke a node that sent out shoot with leaves that look like when i first bought plant.
Here is example of those young leaves that brought back memories of when plant was young.

Yes, many of mine evolve as i call it as they go from 1st year plants to older trees, I just have a feeling this one was a stray one from the seller  wanderings, no big deal , but find it very interesting, it stands out when among its rooting siblings! I guess we will see later this summer.

hey hope we see the fruits from the cuttings this summer....

i am in the same boat but biger- i took lots of cuttings from an old orchard around as i heard there are good figs there..... i never tasted them so for me to take all these effort with pots soil etc is like a gamble, but i like it.
