I never heard of Malta Mission.
Bass I have Malta Black

Jose,
Do you have any photos of the zucchini fig? any description? i found some posts on the weeping fig.

Paully,
A friend of mine got a cutting of Adriano striped, he forgot where he got it from. His tree is still too small for me to get any cuttings. I was wondering if anyone have heard of Adriano Striped.

Ed,
Malta Black is possibly the same fig. How do you like it?

Hi Bass,
The Malta Black fig I have came from Belliclair, Chris had a high regard for this fig " a very special fig grand parent of Celeste".
It is similar in size shape and color and taste to Violet DE Bordeaux, with a diffrent broad leaf.
It however, is very early which makes it great for the north east. It completed ripened all of its figs at about the time when your Brooklyn white starts ripening. Email me this November if you want cuttings.
Best
Ed

Here are the pics of the Zucchini fig. I have a couple of main crop figs that my make it to maturity if I move it indoors. The tree originates from Calabira Italy. Belleclaires used to carry it also. The breba crop resembles a small Zuchinni, approx 1 inch wide by 3 inches long. The main crop is more round shape, but with excellent taste.

Wow, nice looking tree. Are you aware of any other sources of the zucchini so I can add it to my shopping list?

Jose,
those are very distinctive leaves shape. It sounds like the main crop is very late ripening. nice looking fig.
