Hello All,
Wow, I was overwhelmed by the love that my story on Dominicks Figs brought and I was not prepared for the response. I want every person who wrote to me so far and have given me their address to know they will be receiving a few cuttings when he goes dormant in Oct/Nov. Anyone else who wants a few cuttings can feel free to write to me and I will put you on my list. Many of you wonderful fig lovers have offered to pay for shipping, and with the response I've received I will accept a token amount of a few dollars if you can afford it. I will figure that out after I get the packing I need to pull this off. If money is tight, and you want some cuttings, just let me know.
Here is a photo of one of the Dominicks I will be cutting from. He is well over 8 feet now and still going strong especially with our 90 degree temperatures here in beautiful New Jersey.
I am still new to the forum and many of you have indicated that dormant cuttings are best for all. I see that now and will guarantee a few cuttings to anyone who promises to grow a Dominick fig with love. It is an dark Italian fig that is absolutely delicious and has been grown totally organically for as long as I've had him.
Thanks for all the great letters, it means a lot to me.
Also... There will be a tree sent to Jon for the foundation. Dominick has made it into the Fig Hall Of Fame and I cant tell you how much that means to me and his memory.
Keep in touch
