Fig trees have such a warm place in my heart.  My great grandfather's fig tree was two times taller than his house and the width of the fig tree was as wide as his house - the trunk and root section was the most fascinating beautiful part of the tree.  In summer, the smells of the figs and the mud were so soothing and heart warming that I dream of being able to have a place to plant me a fig tree.

I have decided - even if I am renting - I'm still going to plant me a fig tree.  He will have to be in a pot until I can get my own place - but I have read many success stories of fig trees living in pots.  I was researching about this at http://figs4fun.com/basics.html, and it is so well explained I think I could master rooting a cutting and keeping it in a pot!

I was wondering if any of you fig enthusiasts had cuttings from your fig trees that you did not want.... and possibly would mail them to me?  I feel weird even asking such a thing - but circumstances (lack of money) prevent me from buying me a tree from a nursery or online - sigh.

So if it is not an imposition, anyone willing and able - here is my address:  J. Maranville, 69471 Midpark Dr., Desert Hot Springs, CA 92241

And thank you so much in advance!
