I check Craig's list daily for pots within a couple of hundred miles. Also I ask at all nurseries I visit. The best I have done is to find 800 large pots for $300 in Middle Mississippi last year. I was unable to go get them at that time and posted them to this forum and a member went and got them. Luck must be on my side as my most recent find was 3 miles away. when I asked the price I was told $1 each. I quickly agreed and drove away with 220 15gal pots and a few extras. He still has thousands counting all sizes. Nothing less than 3gal up to 45gal. He was not even aware someone might have a use for them. I had to stop at 220 because of the upcoming cost to fill these with potting mix. I have plans for additional purchases and then I will post location for anyone that may wish to make a trip.

Real nice fine!!!  Persistence does pay off!!!!!!!

Great score!

Hopefully Santa brings you lots of potting mix this year :)

Nice find and good price for 15 gallons, I am sure the potting mix will be much more, but well worth the cost.

Good Deal Jake, you lucky Dog!....:)

Now is the time to hit Starbucks up for coffee grounds and your local BBQ joint for some ash.....

Great deal, Jake!  It would be nice to find potting mix at such a great deal too wouldn't it.

Wow, that's a lot of pots to fill!  People I know think I'm nuts already, with my 12 potted fig trees.

What varities are you purring in those?

Great find Grover.

Each will eventually get its own variety. Very few duplicates.

Pots are the first step, if you live in a house its easy to make your own mix and save alot too

Some members here gave me the inspiration and me too bought 300 pots at once althouge not as big .
The seller said i will get a good price for a bigger amount so i took the deal.

Problem is i live in an. Apartment building so soil for me is a problem since lifting heavy soil last spring still makes my back ache.
This time ill buy nursery soil and be done.

nice home run!
