Doree Baud

Bought this from Pierre Baud in 2010 finally got a ripe fig nice flavor.

I had gotten the Doree from Dany at brugmansia quebec, it wasn't really great I don't know if it was because the tree is only 2 years old, but mine started to get green mold on the outside before perfectly ripe, then one of my dogs tore it out of the ground.  Mine was much more round like BM instead of that elongated shape.

Looking great and juicy Nelson!

My Doree or Goutte d' Or is a very slow grower that grows more to the sides than grows into the height. It's a little bit like a Bonsai characteristics...with tiny branches and leaves...I got mine as a present in spring 2012 and no fruit till now.

Is yours with similar characteristics? The leaves look pretty much the same.

James I too had Doree from dany it's a different fig I believe I grew it for 2 years leaves were very different I junk it eventually and only kept the one from baud.

Feigenbaum, yes it is a dwarf type grows mostly horizontal even when you prune it the new growth seems to grow to the sides instead of upward like most other figs.

Would you be so kind and do a picture of your tree?

Dust, I purchased this plant in 2010 as a 1 year old plant this season was the first time it ripened a fig.

Awesome Nelson,thx very much.

That's a little special with the fruiting of the Doree - so late after 4! years.

I had cuttings fruiting after 2 month...weird ;-)
