Dry figs?

We live in Palm Springs. Our tree is an Improved Brown Turkey, in the ground about 3 years. This year we got double the crop of last year but the fruit is not very juicy. I would say they are mostly dry.
The tree gets full sun and is on a drip system that gives it water three days a week. Soil is desert sand/loam. I fertilized in February this year.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Anziani

Got any pics of the tree and fruit?

No, but I can go take some. The tree is healthy as a "horse" although some of the leaves get a little droopy with the 115F sun beating on them in the afternoon.

Are they staying on the the tree past prime?  Some trees will have fruit hang
on and naturally dehydrate if dry conditions allow it and still be good to taste.
Try one the same day its neck breaks.

Thanks. Yes, dehydration is a definite item here. I picked everything left today. Will have to buy some prosciutto and have snacks with our "sun-downer" tonight!
