Duplicate PM's

Has anyone else been getting duplicate PM's?  I've gotten as many as 6 dupes of one PM and a couple dupes from a couple other PM's.

I got duplicates from one member twice.  Sometimes the thing works slow and maybe people think the PM didn't go, so they send again?  I just delete the dupes.  My box is really getting full!

I used to think that until I checked my 'sent' folder and saw a bunch of duplicates in there even though I have never re-sent a pm.  So those people may have thought I was re-sending my pm's, just like I had thought they were re-sending theirs, when in actuality neither of us were re-sending anything.

Apparently the glitch is in the system, and it just randomly sends duplicates.

I do not think that Jon has much influence on the functionality of the system the forum runs on.  I had the same issues many years ago when the info systems for the company I worked for got dumped in my lap.  You either accept the limitations of a ready made system, or pay a butt load of $$$ to have one custom made for you, then pay a butt load more $$$ to maintain it.

Dupes happen all the time even without re-hitting the send button, it's just one of the glitches in the forum software.  I've never re-hit the send button ever, it's against my protocol.  Yet there are still many dupes in my sent folder (just like there are many dupes in my inbox), meaning that I'm sending dupes despite never re-hitting the send button.

I suspect about 95% of the dupes are due to a bug in the system and maybe 5% are the result of someone re-hitting the send button.

For a couple of days any pm someone sent me I got three times... and now when I click a thread instead of it being at the top it pops up somewhere in the middle so I have to scroll up to the top...
