Durio's nursery in La ??'s

Has anyone bought fig trees from them? I am looking to buy two violette da Bordeaux's, one for me and one for my dad. I was just wondering if they have good quality trees and if they worth buying from. They are located about 3 hrs from me but I hardly ever get up that way so what ever I buy will have to be shipped. Any input will be appreciated, thanks

I was wondering as well.. And how to place an order, by calling only?
Anybody has tried to order over the email?

I'm not sure about ordering email, I called once and the woman said her son who runs te place was out of town, so when I'm ready to order I will just call again.

I have been pleased with their plants. To place an order you need to call them. When you call, Mike or Dalton's mother may answere, just ask for Dalton.

Navid.

Thank you, I will be passing through the area either Wednesday night or Thursday morning so they will probably be closed, hopefully on my way back I can stop by there and just pick up the trees that I want.

I see. I emailed them about a month ago but got no reply. Will try to call

You are welcome. I think you would enjoy visiting the nursery and Dalton in person, definitely stop by is possible. Two years ago, I drove 9 hrs or so (one way) to visit Dalton's nursery and JR in LA. Beside figs, he has other types of fruit trees. He has some large Persian Mulberry trees, that are priced very reasonably. Wanted to buy a couple, but could not put the 10-12' trees in my car.

Good luck,
Navid.

I have also bought from Dalton and was very happy.  Best to call.  Packaging is the best you will ever see.

Also purchased from Durio and had good epxerience.

Family run business.  First-rate.  Dalton....the best.
