Dynagro Pro-tekt

Anyone use that product? I've been using it recently on all my potted figs, lemons, and vegetables.
It doesn't say specifically, but now i'm wondering is it safe to eat? It has silicone in it.. It says "use for all plants"

I've used it in the past. I wouldn't eat it, but my trees seemed to be happy with it. If you are using it with another fertilizer, dilute the Pro-Tekt before adding the other(s).

Hi erics11,
What is the product meant for ?
If it is a fertilizer, it should be safe .

Any fertilizer should be fine, I don't think there isn't any labeling requirements for fertilizers to specifically mention food crop use. Let us know if you see any difference with that stuff, I saw it in an industry magazine...sounded like snake oil to me, or at least not worth the $$$.

Just watch out for any fertilizers that have added insecticides or fungicides, to my knowledge none of those are safe for use on food crops. Usually they are called something like "2 in 1" or "3 in 1" insect/disease control.

Silcone is good for plants defense system, it is usually provided in the form of silica though.  I have used silicate phosphate as foliar fertilizer before and it is 100% food safe.

Diatomaceous Earth is a good silica source.

Thanks for the replies. I will continue to use it since i have it. Might not repurchase it next time.
Jdsfrance, it is a supplement 0-0-3 that has potassium and silicon. It is supposed to build stronger cell walls thus protecting from piercing bugs and fungi. Also raise drought and cold tolerance.
