I have had dealings with this person. Do not waste your time. I won an auction for three Black Madeira cuttings and I got three very thin cuttings, I complained and she said: "thats why you could get them so cheap". note that she offered many sought after cuttings and her return address is in apt#1. Where could she be growing all these fig trees? I will never buy from them again. Larry

Sorry all. I'm a but new at this and didn't realize that some folks wanting cuttings would take advantage of others. So I sold "Svet Vasyl" 50 of my mystery cuttings. PayPal email atskor10@aol.com and name connected is Korina. Could not say what their ebay name is but I clicked the link that Harvey C. posted aND immediately recognized the name "Svet". They had me send the cuttings to Brooklyn and their F4F handle is "garden". I can't stand scammers but didn't know that they would lurk around here. Never giving out more than 5-6 cuttings again. Unless we know each other :)

95% positive that these are mine (I worked a long time harvesting the cuttings since my tree is so big). Seller is "dausername1". Probably has multiple ebay accounts because I couldn't find the user you mentioned at the top of the post. I'm annoyed. To reiterate, my fig tree does NOT have a positive ID.

Don't feel bad Amber,Alex was here last year and probably pulled a couple of thousand cuttings from the board. His evasiveness, poor grammar, syntax and objective are easily recognizable. He's a persistent lil' fella though and will be back with a new screen name.Latest iteration.http://figs4funforum.websitetoolbox.com/post/fig-cuttings-wanted-7742659?pid=1289586176 I doubt your unknowns will be listed as such on Ebay.

Wax mark? I didn't put any wax on my figs. I think the seller did that. However, those really look like my robust cuttings.

"Garden" aka "Svet Vasyl" aka "Alex" whoever the hell is now sending me harassing messages because I called him out. Any way to block members so I can't receive any more annoying PM's?

I contact this seller on ebay before. I inform her about being scammer and it didn't surprise her, she just reply "Thank you" (something like I know it :) I would suggest to anyone that if you plan to buy from ebay.com try to identify the seller if they are member of F4F or ourfigs.com and look them up in the forum to see if he/she is trust worthy, my 2cents.radyslava:
Few from UC DAVIS cuttings and few from private collectors. Nope... But it is interesting reading.
Your previous message
Hi I would like to know more about this cutting, what source are you get this tree from and are you member of fig4funforum.com or ourfigs.com?

Purchase 2 'kathleen black' cuttings from " dausername1 " on ebay. Neither budded. Neither were as pictured as posted. Very Disappointed.

I messaged him about the picture and he immediately refunded. I have a thread on him here, you should check it out. Also search eBay scammers and read. I did too late 2. Beware radyslava and 77peony, not just scammers, but they won't grow. They are active now on eBay. Of all the stuff I've read on figs, the scammers part should have been 1 or 2.

I wish I had read this forum before. Last week I bought Takoma Violet cutting from "dausername1 ". Received them yesterday and I put them to root. The ends had wax on them but not sure if they were old or fresh cuttings since I am a newbie; but they were very dark. Should I wait to see if it grows or should I not waist time and throw them out?

@17short .... I would recommend you this this if you can afford to eat the loss. It is the only way to hit the scammer back since eBay will protect them if you file a complaint and not let you file negative feedback if you complain and receive a refund. The crap that the scammer gave you is simply crap. Do with it what you will but go into Ebay and leave feedback to the effect that the seller is a known scammer and has historically defrauded many, many folks by selling named and desirable varieties and sending unknown aged cuttings that rot. Do not pay any attention to emails from the seller as he will try and get you to change the feedback. EBay will tell you that you can request your money back by filing an action. Then ebay will find for the seller and they will remove your feedback and the seller will continue to have great ratings. If you don't file and request a refund and ignore comments from the seller then your negative feedback will stand and hopefully others will see it and be warned.... Its up to you if you want to forgo attempting to get your money back in favor of getting some negative feedback out there but this is the only way to do it. many folks have gone the other route and attempted to contact eBay and provide proof that the scammer and his team are criminals.... EBay refuses to action removing them permanently because either they have a mole working there or eBay is simply making too much money off of these auctions. One of the forum members did a forensic analysis recently and determined that these scammer makes thousands and thousands of dollars off of each fraudulent ad. EBay get ~15% of the sales proceeds and PP gets about 5% so the math stacks in favor of the companies keeping the relationship with the scammers active....

tsparozi. Thanks for the advice. I will wait to see if the cutting grows (I doubt it will grow anything). If not, then I will leave negative feedback warning others and eat-up the cost.

Every once in a while I get a feeling that something isn't right about a trade. I sell unknowns pretty cheap and will sometimes sell 30 in a bundle of 10 varieties. If I don't know you, expect to see the names written accross the cuttings in permanent silver marker. Try to re sell those!

If you have 100% identified people as scammers why are they still active with Ebay and Paypal, your absolute proof surely with take them out of the game. We sell on Ebay but as for scamming l don't think we would obtain enough bus fare to go anywhere, at 1 usd a time plus postage it's hardly worth it and the only reason for the dollar charge is because Ebay stipulate it, plus they take 2.25 usd per 'sale'. We grow Pingo de mel and have almost 400 trees scattered around but we also grow on 4 other types but only sell trees ready to fruit, even then it would not be worth scamming anyone at 6 usd a piece. Quite apart from people scamming buyers we are constantly on the alert for buyers that are trying to scam us and having tracking on our packs we still have people say they don't receive even when their signature is on the ticket, plus the other people that buy for 0.01usd and then expect 300usd in transport paid by us. Two sides to every story and as l told one lady from Malaysia after 14 emails over a dollar fig cutting buy "If you are not sure that you are buying from the correct person then never buy anything from the internet, or anyone.........ever". If it gets too silly l just say l will not sell to you, goodbye.
