I believe figs with origins in Eastern or Central Europe may be well adapted to the less than ideal climactic conditions on the East Coast of USA, like Florea, LaRadek's BT, etc.
Some F4F members from those places have posted on some local finds, and I am hoping someone might be able to help inform me about the varieties Musov, Nitra, and Romano Nero, which were recommended by a Czech friend.

You are right by comparing the US east coast weather with the countries of eastern and south eastern europe.
Its kind of continental with cold winters and hot and dry summers.

The Central of Europe like were i live (Germany) and for example Denmark and the Netherland/Belgium and parts of Poland and France is comparable to the PNW climate. Mild winters and summers with less heat. We especially need short season figs like Bornholm, RdB or EBT and nit so much those cold hardy varieties.

As a person who lives in Poland I would recommend for you Michurinska-10. This varieties gave me main crop last year, I am hope that this will be routine ;)
