It developed a little funny but tasted better than the first.
 

Can you describe the taste a little?

Another fresh fig.  Looks like an unusual "sideways twist" to the insides.  I've never seen anything about this variety, Brent.  Did you like the taste?

Brent, That's a nice looking fig. Mine is one of the nicest looking plants in my collection.

So how do you guys like the taste of this one?

It is a very sweet fig, not much figgy flavor but still fruity. Sometimes the main crop tastes a bit like white grape to me.

The inside looks delish!

Sounds like an interesting variety Brent.  And that unusual twist on the inside of the one, kind of reminds me of what I see happen sometimes on English Brown Turkey (Frank's Fig strain) that I grow.  Similar look too with that long neck, and the reddish color on the outside of the ripe breba.  Description of the breba taste sounds similar to me too, though the main crop taste sounds way different.  In any case, an interesting and nice fig.  Thanks for sharing the pics and description.

Brent, What stands out to me is the leaf pattern of the Easton Purple. Very different than my other plants.

Sounds interesting, Art.  You picqued my curiosity, so I went looking for pictures of this leaf pattern.  I found another of Brent's threads here

Brent, Looking back at the old thread posted by Art- how did the plants with what looks like Abrosia beetle do for you? Did they survive, or was the plant already dead from winter kill?

It was just one beetle in one tree. But it was fairly healthy until the beetle bored inside. I removed the whole top and forget what happened after that... Got rid of it but not sure if it went to a home or fig heaven?

Here's a sample of the leaf pattern.

Those are interesting leaves, Art.  Nice angles in the vein pattern, but also the single lobed and triple lobed on the tree.  (reminds me a bit of the Aubique Petite single-lobed leaves, which mix interestingly along with various multi-lobed -- another variety with interesting leaves as we've seen in other threads).  The angles in these leaves are nice and visually striking.  Thanks for the pics.
