Ebay scam Dausername1

I have been waiting since before I started this thread so......

 AHEM!!

DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH, LOL.

What I have noticed on the "$7 fig tree that killed the forum thread", is that Paypal is paying attention to the complaints.

If anyone is showing any signs of "attention" from Paypal to this matter please make a post about it. There are enough "customers" to retain PayPal's attention to possibly, hopefully, delete their account.

Pie in the sky, but still throwin it out there.

Mike

If you don't at least give it a good shot to make a real difference with those people and eBay/PayPal, it is certain nothing will be done, so nothing ventured, nothing gained.  T

This effort you're making is a good one, IMO, so it shows you're not just fussing about something expecting someone else to take care of it.

Good for y'all because you're giving eBay/PayPal something to think about.

nunuorig. Can you provide any details on your sleuthing? Has she be reported to NYC business licensing? States attorney general? The only one I could find is supposed to be a teacher by that name. Also 2 others I think in NY city area with that same last name.

She doesn't have a business. She is a Russian lady scamming her way with her family. They rent a little apartment in a crappy part of brooklyn. There is no "mafia" ring. She has 12 ebay accounts to peddle her scams.

You can't use the USPS to run a scam. "Mail Fraud" which can be reported. Without revealing anything that could potentially hurt you. How did you come up with your info?

I am not going to divulge any of the details on my collection methods as this has been turned over to the FBI internet crimes at https://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

I provided the contact details in case you wanted to reach out to her to ask her what type of figs you really received.

Thanks. So glad it's been reported. Just wanted to make sure people were 'reaching out' to the right person.

"dausername1 scammer is Kate Snitkovskaia....

Interesting info! Thank you!.....

@ nunuorig - I just want to understand. You've been a member here for 11 days now. You have started to date, two threads. How did you come to this detailed information? By what means? What motivated you after such a short time as a member?

To date I have never sold a fig related item. I'm not a US national and I don't have interaction with the FBI. Does this US federal agency expend much of its resources in the policing of fig fraud? What was the nature of your complaint exactly? An infraction under what federal code?

What are her/his twelve eBay accounts? How have you identified them as the same person?

I'm not challenging what you're saying in any way.... I'm just inquiring as to the details as I don't understand how some of the pieces fit together...

Thanks, and look forward learning more...

Well, I am an avid gardener. I have a ton of fruit trees that I've done a lot of grafting. Around February 2017, I started research figs. I came across James website, figcuttings.com. I felt ripped off. I am a military reservist with a lot of connections in law enforcement, and I do a lot of intelligence collection. Therefore, I became a member here when I felt James ripped me off, and wanted to assist other members in getting their money back and stop James.

Afterwards, I started searching other places to buy figs. This forum made me interested in different varieties. Therefore, I turned to ebay. When I received the cuttings from dausername1, I became suspicious. I spoke with another member here through private chat and warned me about dausername1. I did some research on the internet and from this forum.

I disputed my transaction with ebay. I explained to ebay about the multiple complaints across the internet. I also explained the use had multiple accounts. I recommended ebay cross reference certain "information" (I don't want to disclose so other people don't hide one of the main points I used to catch dausename1). Ebay told me they see the user had 1w accounts linked to that one piece of "information". I also used Google maps to look at the shipped from address that didn't look legitimate. Ebay said ship the cuttings back. The shipping label had another address with a different name then the shipped from address. I did some research on that address, and found a name and number linked to that address. I called the phone number and asked the caller some fig questions. She responded "I'm sorry, I do t do business over the phone." From that point, I immediately knew it was her. She started making snide comments that we're in line with the obnoxious emails she sent me.

In regards to the FBI, they have a division for cyber and internet related crimes. I contacted them through https://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx and I suspect their doing their own research.

I now have the fig bug. I want the "hard to find" varieties, but I'll be damned if I'm going to be taken advantage of. If someone is selling a fake fig tree, I'm going to call bullshit, and make sure i document and do everything I can to protect myself.

Thanks to this forum, I am now doing business with reputable sellers.

I hope this explains it. I prefer not to go into too much detail, as I 1, don't want to expose the loop holes and have other people exploit them, 2, for the seller to hide themselves further and interfere with a potential investigation.

Thank you. I look forward to hearing more about your fig trees....

Thanks Joe. I'm now trying to research this guy. I'm curious if this is a scammer too. I wish there was a way to identify fig types by their cutting!

Anyone have any information on this seller??

They are all tied together. I saw korina has sold 10 sets of fake LSU strawberry. What a shame...

korina is dausername1 who is also peony77.

i know and i share your frustrarion., I just like talking figs. IMHO the best way to steer clear of scams is to steer clear of ebay (unless you know the seller well) just dont bother otherwise

You have any black madiera or I-258 cuttings I can buy off you?

Hold up... So james from figcuttings.com is a scammer as well? Hmm i need 2 get my money back... Darn...

Is James Greenfin?

If so, I read through that thread and it was so interesting, seeing how it progressed from people going all excited about being able to get such great fig trees for so little and how great he was for wanting to include them in his building up the stock of trees, to people then saying, "Hey, wait a minute, here.  The trees aren't coming like they were supposed to.  The guy was having trouble with trees that were difficult to root and grew slowly, so things were backing up and then people getting upset that he kept putting things off more and more to now this guy here is sniffing him out as a scammer?

Did I get that correct, or is this James a different person?

I've bought several cuttings from sempercolo and they are very good cuttings and sent very well wrapped. The others I don't know.

Dauesername1 is Snitkowsky or something.

Joe, the Korina and Peony, 77_Peony @ 11 different user names has been used by the same person since @ 2008. I did do the research a year ago. All the names are tied to the same PayPal account. All this information was forwarded to Ebay and they simply don't give a sh#t while they can make money

Mike

May I ask what country you are in? Im not in the US either.

I rarely post on this site but since everyone is up in arms about deficient fig cuttings just want to say every cutting that I have rec. from Beyond vineyard in La Farge WI has lived and prospered as long as I did my part.

I bought 2 or 3 Wuhan 259 this spring and the potted ones are doing great and the grafted one (on the Gurney's 7 yr. old - no fruit yet tree) just may take after all.

Different source...I got figs last summer from my cutting sent from Brooklyn 2 years ago and have big figs on trees right now also from there that were sent when about 4 ft. high at the same time. When I hauled them up from the basement in April to reside on the porch I figured they'd drop but it hasn't happened ...yet...
